In studio with Mansur Brown
We visited Mansur Bronw in his new studio in north London and we got to have a look behind his practise and work.
Mansur Brown is an artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from London with a distinctive sound.
A ‘guitar virtuoso making music that resists classification’ – a claim that could also be made about the type of character to be drawn to both Fred Perry and George Cox respectively.
Mansur wears the Fred Perry polo shirt and the Fred Perry x George Cox shoes.
“I feel like I’m able to evolve when I collaborate with other musicians and creatives. People bring different things to a collab, one might bring technicality and the other emotion. A good collaboration allows you to learn new things and gain a new perspective on your own work. Whether it’s in music or fashion, new magic can happen in a creative partnership, and new horizons can be created.”
Fred Perry and George Cox share a deep connection, each brand having been adopted by their own distinct youth subcultures over generations. These two styles reflects the coming together of these two worlds, fusing key materials and design principles deep routed in both brands, to create something new, ready for a new generation to take forward.
