Founded in Tokyo in 1990 by Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER has long occupied a space at the intersection of high-fashion craftsmanship and underground culture. UNDERCOVER’s DNA channels the spirit of punk and Tokyo’s countercultural scene. 

Emerging from the “Ura-Harajuku" (backstreets of Harajuku) movement of the early 1990s, UNDERCOVER developed a distinct identity within Japanese fashion: fusing subversive street sensibilities with meticulous tailoring.
